Kim Hyun Joong sets another Japanese Oricon Record and Opens his Home to Fans and Friends

News of Kim Hyun Joong's latest record breaking achievement came out yesterday as Japan's Oricon chart revealed him as the first Korean Artist to break 100,000 copies for first day sales 3 times in a row.  His Singles Kiss Kiss/Lucky Guy, Heat and Tonight broke the chart records and snagged him #1 and #2 spots on the Oricon Chart.  Kim Hyun Joong also broke 100,000 copies for his first day sales on his full album Unlimited as well.  Hyun Joong's Japanese label, Universal Japan stated:

"Looking at his large fanbase, the sales of his first 3 Japanese singles in addition to his first Japanese album 'Unlimited', the effect Kim Hyun Joong has on the Japanese music market is very big."

 To the recent Birthday Boy Kim Hyun Joong.  His achievements at age 27 are quite impressive for a career span of just 8 years since his debut as the Leader of SS501 in 2005.  Since 2008, Hyun Joong has been pulling in the awards and has amassed a collection of over 35 awards for his music and acting careers as well as internet poll awards for titles like MTN(Bloomberg TV) Best CF Model, MNet 20's Most Influential Star and Yahoo's Top Buzz awards for Male star in Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan for 4 consecutive years and Most Popular Artist of the Decade in 2012.  

WOW, BABY!!!

Many of those awards were won before his solo debut in 2010.  However, the awards he has garnered since he went solo with KeyEast Entertainment have been far more impressive as most based on his popularity both in Korea and abroad.  Hyun Joong has a global fan base that has grown exponentially over the past 3 years and has probably reached such a large number of fans from almost every country in the world that even Hyun Joong himself couldn't imagine.  I am so proud to be his not only his fan, but his dedicated blogger as I have written articles over the past year and a half.

Hyun Joong's Genorosity at Home

Finally, I was able to watch Barefoot Friends Episode 8 on Drama Fever last night.  These last couple episodes have been a lot more light-hearted than the beginning episodes.  I have not been concerned for my blood pressure watching Hyun Joong place himself in dangerous situations without even a blink of his beautiful dark eyes!  Ha!   It was entertaining to watch the teams compete in simple at home games to earn money for their trip to Mt.  Jiri.  Hyun Joong was so cute when he competed in the game where they blew pages of the dictionary against Ho Dong.

I was touched when KHJ offered his home for everyone to sleep that night.  My heart was aching a bit because I know KHJ doesn't want to show his house publicly and treasures his privacy.  I will be upset if I hear any reports of fans getting overexcited and showing up to bother him.  He even specifically asked them not to when he talked about it at his Party People fan meeting in Korea.  The map was shown on BFF, and although it is a cartoon like map... fans could possibly figure it out if they are determined.  

I just beg them to respect Hyun Joong and let him have his private residence.  I know it would be a great temptation if I was living in Seoul, but I would have to keep saying to myself that he has asked for his privacy in that one place.  We should honor him and let him have his peaceful sanctuary.  It is the least we can do to show our love and appreciation for all he gives us as his fans.  Respect.  That is what sets Hyun Joong's fans apart.  I am so proud of them for truly caring for him with their actions.

When they started looking in Hyun Joong's closet, you'd better believe I was scouring the still shot of his jewelry organizer above to see if the necklace I made for him might be shown.  Ha!  I couldn't tell from the brief glimpse they showed.  All his jewelry is the same black, white, and silver.  The necklace I made is black leather, so it would be hard to see if it was there amongst the other things.  I keep hoping deep in my heart he got the gift and it safe somewhere in his possession.  I have to believe it or my heart aches.  I really put a lot of thought and care into that piece for him.  See my Christmas 2012 article here:  http://angeloftheeastkhj.blogspot.com/2012/10/kim-hyun-joong-christmas-angel-on.html

Before seeing Barefoot Friends Episode 8, I had read some comments online about women's clothes revealed in Hyun Joong's closet when Lee Hyori and Uee came out to model them.  After seeing the episode, I was annoyed with the people who wrote these comments as they were completely inaccurate.  Lee Hyori and Uee were wearing sweaters that actually belong to Hyun Joong and are men's sweaters.  

Hyun Joong is very tall, and those actresses are much shorter than he.  The sweaters look like dresses on these petite Korean women.  Even though someone in the cast did state these were women's clothes, it is not the case.  No women's clothes in Hyun Joong's closet.  I am annoyed when people try to start false rumors about him.  If he is seeing someone, he will tell everyone.  He has said that many times in many interviews, and Kim Hyun Joong is a man of his word.  End of story.

I only have one more thing to say about Barefoot Friends Episode 8.... Lee Hyori is COMPETITIVE and somewhat MEAN.  She was awful when they played the game trying to push each other off balance with a finger to the forehead!  LOL!  I would not want to play a friendly game with her... it gets unfriendly pretty fast!  

Hyun Joong and Ho Dong saved my unsettled mood during this game, however.  The comparison of Ho Dong's huge hands to Hyun Joong's was really funny.  It  makes KHJ look like he has tiny little girl hands.  Ho Dong's meaty paws are just unusually large, that's all!  It was quite funny to see.
