Performing Again after a Short Break, Kim Hyun Joong Shows us Once Again Why he Was Born to be On the Stage, and Why Intimate Venues Suit Him Best
First off, I want to give my heartfelt thanks to the fans who posted the videos from Aomori Shock and Korea Japan Festival in Tokyo for the fans who were unable to attend and who live around the world. I have been missing Hyun Joong so painfully this past week, and worrying about him like a big sister would. Seeing him smile and enjoy himself in this intimate performance with his Japanese fans soothed my heart and made me feel much less anxious. He was happy and smiling and performing his best just like he did back on his HEAT tour with just a band and himself. I truly believe this style performance suits him best as he is able to fully interact with the crowd and put all of his passion into singing. I was moved to tears as I listened to the fans singing along with him. It is truly a relief to see him looking so relaxed and free. My heart is peaceful and my soul can rest. I am truly feeling like I can breathe a huge sigh of relief. Thank you fans who attended and shared your videos, photos and tweets. Thank you, Hyun Joong, for showing us your beautiful smile and calm performance. I am so thankful to see you smiling!
And, I love his wardrobe! Rocker Casual. He looks so comfortable. At first, I couldn't get what the pants were... then, I realized it was a flannel tied around! LOL! Takes me back to the Grunge days of the late '90s. He looks so cool and happy. I am happier than I can even say here! I just feel relieved and relaxed. Thank you Hyun Joong! I know everything is OK with you, and all is right with the world for me. After reading a couple of fan accounts reporting that his words were few and mostly consisted of 'thank you's' and one short statement saying the performance was supposed to be secret and he was surprised so many fans came out. I just had to laugh out loud at that. He should know by now that if even one fan finds out about something, we all know about it in a matter of hours! We are so close knit, we share EVERYTHING, Hyun Joong, really! Even fans from all around the world know about anything that's happening the second it gets leaked out there! Ha haa haaa! I love his innocence! It's so cute and sweet.
Speaking of sweet, HIS VOICE! I was so touched and had misty eyes listening to all the songs during the Aomori and Korea Japan Festival performances. He was so tender and intimate and the fans singing softly along just broke my heart wide open. I pray I get to see him perform someday live. If I do, I hope it's an intimate setting like this. I would love to see him dance and get swept up in the glizty big budget shows as well, but if I had to choose, I would choose just Hyun Joong and a band in a small stage where the fans can interact with him more closely. It just suits him so much more and I would be so happy to feel that close to him while he performs. Many comments were made about his HEAT tour and how the intimate stage suits him so well. Many were very surprised he could carry the stage all by himself that well. It did not surprise me in the least. He is very talented at commanding a crowd. A lot of big stars are showy and glitzy and can control a crowd with sheer presence. Hyun Joong's way is more intimate and personal He can command a crowd because he truly CONNECTS with their hearts. They are swept along with him because he has tapped into their emotions in such a beautiful and positive way, they are truly HIGH! HIGH! HIGH! He is like a Happy Drug! And we are Addicted for a Lifetime!
Watching 'Hot Sun' and 'Heat,' I couldn't get the smile off of my face. It was ear to ear grinning just watching Hyun Joong enjoying himself with the crowd. Oh, am feeling so much relief seeing him like this. I am so happy I can't get the smile off my face, really! My cheeks are hurting, but I still can't stop. I am so pleased and thankful! I am in debt to the fans that shared the videos. Thank you to my Twitter friends KimHyunJoong24 who shared on vimeo and glassy U:zoosin who shared on Daily Motion. My week will be so much happier after watching these for a lovely Sunday Afternoon. 'Your Story' and 'Save Today' were definitely my favorites in this performance. 'Save Today' has never been my favorite song, but this performance was so tender and touching, I think I might be liking it a lot more now. His voice was so pure and sweet and the emotion was beautiful. He just did a wonderful job all around and I am so relieved to see him enjoying himself. Sigh... now we have more time waiting before we know what's next. I feel much relieved though after seeing Aomori Performances today. Thanks again to the fans who shared so quickly. You are all so wonderful! We are blessed to be a part of this Alien Family sharing Hyun Joong together each day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
